Boy Dies After Being Hit by His Father’s Pickup

A 14-month-old boy died Sunday after being struck by a truck driven by his father in Perris.
Benito Flores, 37, told Riverside County sheriff’s deputies he had backed his pickup truck to make a U-turn in his driveway and was unaware that he had hit his son, Edwardo.
The boy was taken to Valley Plaza Doctors Hospital, where he died.
No charges have been filed, and police are investigating.
