Soldiers Kill 7 Militants on a Central Island

Philippine troops killed seven militants during a clash with communist guerrillas and members of a private militia group in the central Philippines, an army spokesman said.
The military sustained no casualties during the clash in Baleno on the island of Masbate, about 225 miles southeast of Manila, military spokesman Lt. Col. Daniel Lucero said.
