Three Detained in Shooting of President

Police said they had detained two men and a woman as possible suspects in the March 19 shooting that slightly injured President Chen Shui-bian.
Investigators searched a home and found a homemade handgun, gunpowder and bullets similar to those police think were used in the attack, investigator Wang Chong-jong said. He said a crime lab was studying the gun and bullets.
Police said one of the three detainees, who weren’t identified, ran a pub near the shooting scene in the city of Tainan.
