Officials Round Up Reproducing Rabbits

It turns out they do breed like rabbits.
A bunch of bunnies created a population boomlet in the Santa Barbara County town of Buellton that local officials are trying to get under control.
The rabbits, probably purchased as pets, were either released or got away from owners and took up residence in a field.
When county Animal Services became aware of the problem, there were an estimated 50 to 60 rabbits. Authorities eventually turned up about 75. Most were taken to the county animal shelter in Lompoc.
