Motorcyclist Dies in Truck Collision

A motorcyclist was killed Thursday when he collided with a truck on a San Diego Freeway off-ramp in Costa Mesa, officials said.
The man’s name was not released. He was declared dead at the scene after being pinned beneath his motorcycle, which had caught fire.
The collision occurred about 9 p.m. on the off-ramp from the northbound San Diego Freeway that serves South Coast Drive, Fairview Road and Harbor Boulevard, said Lt. Dave Anderson, a spokesman for the Costa Mesa Police Department.
The cause is being investigated.
