Guantanamo Detainee Alleges Torture, Slayings

A Briton held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, said in a letter released by his lawyers that he was tortured, kept in solitary confinement for almost two years and that he “partially witnessed” what he believed was the slaying of two detainees by U.S. military interrogators in Afghanistan.
The Pentagon did not comment specifically on the prisoner, Moazzam Begg, but said “all interrogation techniques used at Guantanamo are within” international standards.
