Airport Panel Barred From Voting on Contract

The city attorney has disqualified the Airport Commission from voting to double to $1 million a contract with a law firm, because Commissioner Peter Weil is a partner in the firm.
The City Council’s Board of Referred Powers will meet Tuesday to consider the contract with the law firm of Christensen, Miller, Finks, Jacobs, Glaser, Weil and Shapiro to represent the airport department on insurance claims involving the shutdown of flight operations after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
