Last month on California Coastal Cleanup Day a litter-picker in San Diego County twisted open a bottle to discover inside a photograph of a woman, a note asking someone to call her and 20 cents. Every day, people forward images of similarly curious finds to the editors of Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Found magazine, www.foundmagazine.com, which reproduces faded pictures, scribbled to-do lists and other two-dimensional things, creating a sometimes poignant, often goofy scrapbook of strays.
