* German chemical and drug maker Bayer has agreed to plead guilty and pay a $4.7-million fine for its part in a conspiracy to fix prices of a synthetic rubber used in automotive parts and other products, the Justice Department said.
* Ingram Micro Inc. of Santa Ana said Chief Financial Officer Thomas Madden would leave in April to take a teaching job at UC Irvine. William Humes, the corporate controller, will succeed Madden.
* Lockheed Martin Corp. and BAE Systems contested an Air Force award to Boeing Co. of a $4-billion contract to upgrade C-130 transport planes after a former Pentagon official said she improperly favored Boeing.
* Inamed Corp. and Genzyme Corp. said the Food and Drug Administration had approved a larger-particle version of an injectable gel, Hylaform, that can be used to temporarily fill the deepest facial wrinkles. Genzyme makes the products, and Inamed markets them.
