The finale of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing 3” will be aired -- not on the peacock network but on Comedy Central.
The last episode will be seen at 8 p.m. Saturday on the cable network, which has run same-week repeats of the show since the beginning of the season.
NBC dropped the finale in favor of a three-episode “Father of the Pride” marathon, which aired Tuesday night, and announced on its “Last Comic Standing 3” website that Alonzo Bodden was the winner of the $250,000 prize.
The third installment of the show, dubbed the “Battle of the Best,” had pitted comics from the show’s first two seasons in an “American Idol”-like competition. Host and executive producer Jay Mohr posted a message on his website last week saying the show had been canceled.
