Israeli Forces Kill 5 Palestinian Militants

Five Palestinian militants were killed in three gun battles with Israeli troops.
In the first incident, Israeli military sources said, two Hamas militants breached the fence along the Gaza Strip and were about to attack an Israeli kibbutz when troops shot them.
Two militants were killed while trying to plant a bomb near a Jewish settlement in southern Gaza, the Islamic Jihad militant group said. Another was killed near another settlement, a military source said.
