A former manager at the Ventura County Fairgrounds has pleaded guilty to stealing about $4,900 in parking fees.
Richard A. Tucker, 53, of Oxnard entered the plea Monday in Superior Court, officials said.
“Investigation revealed that Tucker ... covered up his theft by submitting false reports that underreported the true amount of parking revenue,” the district attorney’s office said.
Tucker had been event-services manager at the fairgrounds for seven years. Investigators found he had stolen money since March 2003. He faces a maximum of three years in prison when sentenced Nov. 18.
