Council Bans Smoking on 2 Popular Beaches

Smoking on two of the city’s most popular beaches is now illegal.
Joining eight Southern California cities and nearby Capitola, the City Council on Tuesday unanimously voted to banish butts from Santa Cruz’s Main Beach and Cowell Beach.
