From Bloomberg News
Northrop Grumman Corp. and Raytheon Co.’s new Navy destroyer faces “significant risk” of cost and schedule delays because of difficulties in developing new technologies, the Government Accountability Office said.
The first DDX ship is scheduled to be launched in 2010. The companies won a $2.9-billion contract in 2002 to design the DDX, intended to better elude radar.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Northrop shares fell 19 cents to $51.35, and Raytheon rose 23 cents to $35.55.
