Bridge Toll Collector Shot by Motorist

A female toll collector was shot Saturday night on the Golden Gate Bridge by a motorist who had exited from a stolen car, police said.
The motorist fled on foot, pursued by Golden Gate Bridge police. He was shot in the leg and taken into custody, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The gunman and toll worker were both hospitalized. The toll collector’s injury was serious, but not believed to be life-threatening, officials said.
