‘Man of House’ escapes the trash
THIS morning I suddenly realized that because of a hectic Thursday schedule I hadn’t read my favorite weekly column, “Man of the House.” My efficient husband had tossed yesterday’s Times for the Friday garbage pickup.
So there I was hovering over the trash can, already pulled to the front curb, frantically looking for the Home section as the garbage truck noisily made its way down our street. I’m so glad I retrieved it!
My favorite columns are the ones Chris Erskine writes about his daughter in college, maybe because our oldest is also a daughter. That column [“E-mail From the Edge,” Feb. 17] was wonderful. His love for his family radiates into my little world.
