Governor Is Released After Reinjuring a Rib

Gov. John E. Baldacci was released from a hospital after reinjuring one of the ribs he broke in a fall outside his home earlier this month, officials said.
Baldacci, 50, was seated on a couch watching television when he turned his torso and heard the rib snap, spokesman Lynn Kippax said.
Baldacci broke three ribs on Feb. 16 when he slipped on ice as he walked down the back steps of the governor’s mansion to pick up the morning newspapers.
