Lakers No Longer Playing No. 8-Ball

I’m astonished at the pundits who express surprise that the Lakers are winning without Kobe. A “team” with five solid guys who play hard, unselfish basketball will always be better than four solid guys relegated to sidekicks as one egocentric superstar tries to prove his greatness.
I wouldn’t mind seeing what this team could do without Kobe for an entire season.
I’d be shocked if the difference were more than five to seven games, either way. We’ll never know.

We used to talk about three championships in a row. Now the current version of the Lakers has us talking about three wins in a row. Sad.

It’s nice to see that the Lakers have other players besides Kobe who can perform during crunch time. I just hope Kobe notices too.
