* L.A. County officials have launched a property tax website to address residents’ basic questions about assessment, taxation and appeals at www.lacountypropertytax.com.
* Existing single-family home sales statewide are expected to reach a record 633,490 units in 2005, a 1.4% increase from the previous year’s record pace of 624,740 units, according to the California Assn. of Realtors’ midyear housing market forecast.
