Bush Attacker Cites U.S. Interference

A man who admitted throwing a grenade at President Bush during a rally in Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital, said he hoped to kill him because he believed that the U.S. leader was interfering in the country, his lawyer said.
Vladimir Arutyunian was charged with terrorism, said the lawyer, Guliko Dzhimsheladze.
“My client believes that Bush is interfering in Georgia’s ... affairs” and that he shouldn’t be punished for the attack, she said.
