Pinochet’s Immunity Restored in ’74 Slaying

Chile’s Supreme Court reinstated ex-dictator Augusto Pinochet’s immunity from prosecution in the 1974 car-bombing assassination of political foe Gen. Carlos Prats in Buenos Aires, a court official said.
The Supreme Court cited a technicality in striking down the Santiago Appeals Court’s earlier ruling to strip immunity of Pinochet, 89, in the case.
