Darfur Rebels Say They Want to Resume Talks

The two main rebel groups from Sudan’s Darfur region said they were willing to resume peace talks.
The Sudan Liberation Army and the Justice and Equality Movement said in a statement that they wanted to resume talks “as soon as possible ... without preconditions.”
No date has been set for the talks. The two groups took up arms in 2003, accusing the government of neglect and discrimination against non-Arabs.
