Woman Pleads Guilty in Katrina Relief Scam

A 19-year-old woman pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to impersonating an American Red Cross worker in a fraud case connected to Hurricane Katrina.
As part of a deal for Gina Liz Nicholas of Glendale, prosecutors will recommend a sentence ranging from probation to six months in prison.
Nicholas and co-defendant Tino Lee of Burbank, 44, were arrested Sept. 15. Lee pleaded guilty last week.
Both Lee and Nicholas remain free on bond.
