Four Children Die and Two Are Hurt in Fire

Fire spread through a third-story apartment in Hamilton before dawn, killing four children and injuring two others, authorities said.
Garnett Moss, who said he was the children’s great-uncle, said he didn’t know where the parents were when the fire broke out. He said the four who died were two brothers and two sisters ages 6 to 9.
A spokeswoman at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center declined to discuss the two injured children being treated there, a 4-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. Hamilton is about 20 miles north of Cincinnati. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
