Winner in Ohio Race Takes Seat in Congress

Ohio Republican Jean Schmidt was sworn in as a member of the House, a month after a special election.
Schmidt, 53, captured the southwest Ohio seat with a narrow victory over Paul Hackett, an Iraq war veteran who opposed the invasion and criticized President Bush’s handling of the war.
