Toll Rises to Eight as Kurds Continue Protests

Kurdish protesters set fire to two banks and youths set up barricades in a town in southeastern Turkey where violent clashes with security forces have killed eight people.
Security sources said one protester was fatally shot in the latest clashes in Kiziltepe and 10 people were injured. Army marksmen were seen in one area.
Cihan Sincar, the mayor, said it was unclear who shot him.
The number of protesters was estimated at 1,000.
Riots erupted Tuesday after funerals for 14 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party killed by security forces.
