Rebels Hit Government Sites; 5 Policemen Slain

Communist rebels bombed government buildings and raided security bases in Malangawa, about 75 miles south of Katmandu, the Nepalese capital, killing at least five policemen and taking hostages, officials said today.
The fighting also left four rebels dead, a government official said.
The attack came a day after police detained dozens of politicians, activists and journalists and imposed a curfew in Katmandu to thwart an opposition strike.
