Phoenix Sun forward Amare Stoudemire had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Wednesday and won’t play again this season, the team said.
The operation followed a comeback that lasted three games. He missed the first 66 games of the season after October surgery on his left knee.
In the latest surgery, debris caused by wear of the kneecap was removed, the team said. Stoudemire will be on crutches for a week to 10 days and can resume basketball in six to eight weeks.
