Baseball is upon us, teams have started play
Vying less for pennants than the allegiance of L.A.,
Far more than Angel Red vs. Dodger Blue,
The game’s for Dollar Green, a much more serious hue
Anaheim’s Moreno wants northward to expand
Because he sees a prize in attracting L.A.’s fans
He knows to his chagrin the team value score
Dodgers worth $424 million, Angels $294
Meantime the McCourts, their Boston land now gone,
With freshly painted ballpark, are determined to hang on
Their new-look team, fans hope, will help them toward their dream
If not, some fear, we could see condos atop Chavez Ravine.
