Re “Bush Rejects Iran Reports,” April 11
The United States is getting ready to attack Iran? President Bush says no, characterizing the idea as “wild speculation.”
Question: Is the wild speculation about Washington’s plans for Iran as wild as the speculation that led us to war in Iraq? In the latter case, the speculation was presented as certainty.
It’s what our current (mis)leaders do: present their favorite speculation or suspicion as certainty, then repeat it until it sounds like the truth.
