Underage gallerygoers
I grew up in the late ‘70s and ‘80s eating wine and cheddar and pondering contemporary art at my parents’ and family friends’ museum and gallery shows [With the Kids, by Dean Kuipers, April 6]. Art world baby boomers often included kids in the mind-expansive experience.
Bringing children to openings is more a resurgence than a new trend. And a pre-teen who sticks gum on a painting knows better.
