Cal State Trustees Name Chief Academic Officer

Cal State Long Beach Provost Gary W. Reichard has been named executive vice chancellor and chief academic officer for the Cal State system, making him one of the system’s top officials.
Cal State trustees approved the appointment Tuesday at their meeting in Long Beach.
Reichard, the senior vice president for academic affairs, recently was one of four finalists to become president of Cal State Long Beach.
He will begin his new job, which pays $262,008 a year, on Feb. 10.
