Red Cross Chapter to Undergo Review

The San Gabriel Valley American Red Cross Chapter is designating a committee to probe complaints from volunteers and staff about the organization’s management.
The committee will look into issues that surfaced after the hiring last fall of convicted con artist Fred Brito as a top fundraiser.
Since then, volunteers and staff have complained about the management style of Chief Executive Officer Angie Turner and the board of directors’ leadership.
The review by a panel of community leaders from Pasadena and the San Gabriel and Pomona valleys is set to begin Jan. 9 and will last a month.
