You can’t go home again? Not if you’re Deep Dish and want to play your funky music. The partners in the Washington, D.C.-based duo, Ali “Dubfire” Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi, are natives of Iran, whose government recently handed down an edict banning Western music. Fortunately for Deep Dish, the international dance-music community continues to embrace the pair’s music. Its latest album, “George Is On,” includes the Grammy-nominated track “Say Hello,” and the teaming with Stevie Nicks on a reworking of her “Dreams” is off to a strong start as a single.
Deep Dish, Avalon Hollywood, 1735 Vine St., Hollywood, 11 p.m. Saturday. $25. (323) 462-8900.
