Wales: Fine dining by the River Dee
- Share via
“A casual conversation with a fellow traveler at LAX led us to a wonderful discovery: the Boat Inn in Erbistock, Wales. It is a charming 18th century inn on the banks of the River Dee. Remnants of the hand-operated ferry pull mechanism still exist. The staff of the inn is so welcoming, and dining is a five-star culinary experience at reasonable prices.” Dinner for two, about $50.

Cambodian B&B;
“I never dreamed a B&B; in Siem Reap, Cambodia, could be so delightful and luxurious. Nothing more could be asked for -- beginning with being picked up from the airport, to the tastefully decorated suites with air conditioning, hot water, all the comforts of home, lovely landscaping, full breakfast and all the information, assistance and advice you could want. The home is owned and operated by an American couple, Andrea and Brandon Ross.” Rooms begin at $70.
