Re “Inmate Care Is a Mess, Official Says,” July 6
The only thing the California Department of Corrections seems to do well is squander money and waste resources. It is a bloated, bureaucratic nightmare that is poorly managed and accountable to no one. With billions of taxpayer dollars on the line, why stop at the federal takeover of just prison healthcare? The entire California prison system needs to be put under a federal receiver.
