Coalition Soldier Dies in Clash With the Taliban

Taliban-led violence flared across southern Afghanistan, with militants taking control of two southern towns, killing a coalition soldier and wounding 11 other troops, officials said.
The nationalities of the soldiers, serving in the U.S.-led coalition, were not released. It was unclear if there were militant casualties.
In eastern Afghanistan, U.S.-led troops killed four suspected Al Qaeda members, including Arab and Chechen fighters.
