The Parks show

WHEN I initially noted the piece on Suzan-Lori Parks, I figured it involved showcasing new playwrights around the country in a 365-day project. A project that she and Bonnie Metzgar would coordinate with theaters nationwide. My reaction: “Yeah, baby, that’s cool.” Wrong. Reading on, it became apparent that this is actually the “Suzan-Lori Parks Show” featuring the noodling of Suzan-Lori Parks at a theater near you. Wow. I’m now thinking her next opus has got to be on self-promotion and huckstering. She’s a demonstrated master.
