Simple Solution to an Artistic Problem
I read your article about Tinker, an art studio for children, and feel it’s a complicated solution to an easy problem (“Mother of Invention Inspires Studio for Kids,” July 12).
We let our children have artistic freedom by setting up an inexpensive, washable table in their room with a tarp under it. They could make as big a mess as they wanted, with almost any medium, but only on that table. We looked for art supplies on sale and kept it well-stocked.
It was their special place, and many masterpieces were created there.
