Hey, LAX, how about a few signs?

AS a frequent traveler to Asia, I am appalled by the continuing chaos and inefficiency of the “security procedures” that make the Tom Bradley terminal at LAX feel more like the Third World than a part of one the world’s major airports.
With not a single sign to direct first-time users, passengers wander around trying to figure out where to line up for the luggage X-ray machines, which appear to be randomly spread through the terminal.
The procedure of having porters push the luggage from the X-ray areas to each passenger’s airline counter, doubtless conceived for security purposes, instead adds to the confusion and opens up another potential target of infiltration by unscrupulous persons.
I do not see this situation in any of the other terminals. Is the fact that the terminal has mostly small airlines from developing countries the reason that LAX continues to ignore this embarrassing situation?
