UC Santa Barbara (13-13, 5-8) at Cal State Northridge (11-15, 4-9), 4 -- A win by Santa Barbara gives the Gauchos sole possession of fifth place. A win by Northridge creates a three-way tie for fifth among Santa Barbara, Fullerton and the Matadors, leaving it to tiebreakers to determine the tournament seedings.

UC Davis (8-19) at UC Riverside (4-22), 4 -- Riverside, in all probability, has two games left this season, today and the first game of the conference tournament. Davis lost to Fullerton on Thursday for its fifth consecutive defeat.

Long Beach State (15-11, 8-5) at UC Irvine (16-11, 10-3), 5, FSNW2 -- An Irvine win, coupled with a Pacific loss to Cal Poly on Sunday, gets the Anteaters a share of the regular-season championship. A win by Long Beach or a loss by Cal Poly to Pacific on Sunday gives the 49ers sole possession of third place.

Pacific 10 Conference Tournament

No. 3 UCLA (17-10, 12-6) vs. No. 6 Cal (18-10, 10-8), 11 a.m. -- UCLA might have an NCAA tournament bid with its third-place finish in conference, a 37 RPI and wins over three ranked teams. But the Bruins don’t need another bad first-round performance like last season to give the selection committee a reason to exclude them. Cal, which split its two games with UCLA, has its highest seeding for the tournament. But the Bears are a bubble team and will probably need to reach the title game to get the committee’s attention.

No. 4 Washington (18-9, 11-7) vs. No. 5 USC (17-10, 11-7), 7:15 -- For the Trojans, the math is simple. They’re going to need 18 wins for a chance to return to the NCAA tournament, especially if the selection committee decides to invite only four Pac-10 teams. USC’s Allison Jaskowiak, a swing player who injured her left knee in last Sunday’s loss to Oregon State, practiced on Friday and is expected to play. A loss could hurt the Huskies’ NCAA tournament hopes too, but those hopes are not as fragile as USC’s.
