Lockheed Martin Corp. beat Northrop Grumman Corp. for a contract to upgrade computer systems that FBI agents use to manage investigations, a person familiar with the competition said.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Bethesda, Md.-based Lockheed had won the bid over Los Angeles-based Northrop.
