Ducommun’s Profit Slips on Higher Taxes

Ducommun Inc., a manufacturing and engineering service provider, said first-quarter profit slipped because of a higher tax rate.
Income for the quarter was $2.8 million, or 27 cents a share, down from $4.1 million, or 40 cents, a year earlier. Sales increased 13% to $72.2 million.
Shares of Ducommun closed down 58 cents at $22.54.
