A sign of hope

It is good to read in The Times about Israeli troops protecting Palestinian schoolchildren from attacks by Israeli extremists (May 14).
As it has always been customary for Israeli schoolchildren to have armed escorts on all school outings in order to protect them from Palestinian extremists, it is nice to see Palestinian children protected by Israelis from Israeli extremists. Perhaps one day Palestinian and Israeli children can go to school without fear of violence from either side. This article gives me hope.
