Six people, including five from Corona, pleaded guilty Friday to federal charges stemming from the case of the Golden State Bus Co., which allegedly transported hundreds of illegal immigrants from the Mexican border to Los Angeles and other destinations around the U.S.
The operation moved 40,000 illegal immigrants on reconfigured routes on less-traveled back roads over a two-year period, authorities said.
The U.S. attorney in Arizona has convicted 25 other people in the case.
