No Plan to Adopt Color Patches for Minorities

From Times Wire Reports

A draft law is moving through parliament to encourage Iranians to wear Islamic clothing to protect the country’s Muslim identity but does not mention special attire for religious minorities, according to a copy obtained from the parliament’s press office.

A report in the National Post, a Canadian newspaper, had said the law would force Jews, Christians and other religious minorities to wear patches of colored cloth to distinguish them from Muslims. The newspaper backed away from its report, which ignited a storm of criticism of Iran.
