Red Cars Remembered

The article by Jim Hayes (“Kaboom, Swat, Clang,” The Generations Issue, April 30) really hit home. I lived in both Venice and Santa Monica. I went to school in tents after the earthquake. And I rode the Big Red Cars--the last time in 1942, when I went to Ft. MacArthur to be inducted into the Army. Give us more stories like this one.
