Stung by the recent death of an officer, Police Chief William J. Bratton said Thursday that his department was looking into providing officers with reflective vests to wear when investigating traffic incidents at night.
The action comes after the Oct. 22 death of Officer Landon Dorris, who was killed when he was struck by a car after walking into the street while investigating a minor traffic collision.
