Dominik Hasek only had to stop 16 shots to earn his 70th career shutout and lift the Red Wings to their seventh straight victory, 3-0, over the visiting Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.
Detroit right wing Jason Williams was taken off on a stretcher and hospitalized after a shoulder check to the face by Raffi Torres. The team said he was conscious and doing well.
