HDNet, the high-definition television network co-founded by Mark Cuban, plans to air as many as 12 original movies next year and start a makeover reality-TV show with former basketball star Dennis Rodman.
The movies will be produced by Cuban’s film company and be released to theaters and on DVD the same day they appear on HDNet, Cuban said.
Cuban, 48, who signed Dan Rather to host a show after the former news anchor left CBS in June, is building a library of high-definition programs to attract subscribers.
